What’s new in notification management

1. Personal notifications

Personal notifications are geared to individual users. Each team member can set their own preferences for how they want to be notified, choosing from:

  • System notifications

  • Email

  • Text

  • Slack (with profile integration)

These can be customized based on specific scenarios. For example, you can choose to be notified when a tenant makes a payment through the resident portal, whether or not you are assigned to the lease.

2. Account notifications

Account notifications provide a company-wide layer of customization. Admins can configure how owners, vendors, applicants, and tenants receive updates from the system. These notifications can be toggled on or off, depending on business needs.

This flexibility allows property management companies to create a consistent communication standard for external stakeholders while still giving employees freedom to manage their personal preferences.

Why it matters

Staying updated is critical in property management—but every user has different needs. Rentvine’s notification system ensures both individual users and company accounts receive the right information, in the right way, at the right time.

By putting notifications in your control, Rentvine reduces confusion, ensures accountability, and keeps everyone aligned.

Rentvine community, how we doing? We have another video of Rentvine Academy. Today we are going to be going over account notifications and personal notifications in your global settings.

Personal notifications are geared to the specific user who is signed in. Whenever I configure my specific settings for my account, this is how I’ll get notified. Other users in my property management company can also set up how they want to be notified.

There are four different ways to set notifications: system, email, text, or Slack. If you add a phone number or integrate your Slack profile, those options become available as well.

What I like about personal notification settings is how customizable they are. For example, whenever a tenant makes a payment through the resident portal, you can choose not only how you want to be notified, but also when—for example, if you’re assigned to the lease, if no one is assigned, or always.

Now let’s go over account notifications. Account notifications can also be customized. For example, someone without a phone number can still receive notifications when a tenant receipt is made through the portal. There are multiple notification options for this too.

You also have owner, vendor, applicant, and tenant notifications, which can be toggled on or off depending on your needs.

That wraps up how our notifications work. Thank you for your time, and always remember—never back down and never give up.
